You Belong To The Earth

 everyone i've met since, 

knows your name

it's like there's a past, present, and future to the outline of your very presence 

in my life 

like if i can just write you into every page

i can keep you as mine

but i know your earthly body 

belongs to the dirt now

and i am but a gardener 

trying to produce fruit 

from the seeds i planted in you.
