Where Does Love Go When It Dies/Letter From The Author

 Dear Readers,

Where Does Love Go When It Dies is a letter to myself, it's a book I needed to read, it's a promise to myself that I will continue to speak my truth even when other people don't understand nor like that truth.

While most people will see this as a book about heartbreak, breakups, and love, this book is mainly about every kind of relationship we will have in this life, and the grieving process each of us has experienced in some way or another.

It is about our romantic relationships, our relationships with parents, family, friends, childhood bullies, the person in your head, and yourself. 

I think the biggest thing I want people to take from this book is that the love you put into other people, always has a way of coming back to you.

You get out what you put in, and we all deserve to give ourselves a little grace.

Love the person that you love, hate yourself when you need to hate yourself, but never let those things take full control over your life.

Loving someone too much can destroy you just as much as hating yourself can, and the balance in life is only found when you can take a step back and look at this whole story.

It isn't just about love, heartbreak, grief, or acceptance. It's about all of those things together and how it makes each of us into who we are as a person.

So as you read, make sure you remember, that you can't just stop at one part in the grieving process, you have to get through every single step, 

and we will continue to go through them for the rest of our earthly lives. But our hope is found in the fact that God will get us through these steps.

I don't talk about religion in much of this book, but my relationship with the Lord helped me get through each of these steps to be able to write this book myself, and He will always play a main part in my story. 

And from the words of Emily Dickinson in her poem, "This Is My Letter To The World", 

"This is my letter to the World

That never wrote to Me—

The simple News that Nature told—

With tender Majesty 

Her Message is committed

To Hands I cannot see—

For love of Her—Sweet—countrymen—
