If I Sang More Often

I'd probably be alot better of a singer,

if I sang more often.

When did the fear start; when did I first become frightened?

I never let the toys have voices as a kid,

and now I can see how I never let myself have one either.

And when I did have a voice,

it was in tears and screaming.

I bottle up the pain until I release it all at once.

Maybe if I wasn't so afraid to sing,

I could get the pain out easier.
